2023 W.I.N.G.S. Wrap Up - Year 17

As we finish up the final touches for 2023 we are able to write checks to 8 different area food shelves or backpack programs, each receiving $400. With that said we are reflecting on how absolutely blessed the W.I.N.G.S. Foundation is. A great golf course to work with, awesome volunteers, incredible people that continue to support the mission of the foundation. "Leaving your Positive Mark" in this world is so important… Thanks to all who support this.

Monday, June 12, 2023 the weather was just a little overcast and about 75 degrees and the 155 golfers took off for an event-filled day.

The Sir Smoke A Lot food truck prepared about 200 meals starting at 2:00 and going till 7:00 and we also had about 30 participants for the 5K event. For the event we had around 60 pay-it-forward hole sponsors and 28 fabulous raffle items.

So, do people continue to show up and/or support this Foundation because of the golf, the raffle items, the 5K, the incredible brats??? We'd say yes, but we believe there is a deeper reason. The ability to reach out and help others and ground yourself in positive acts of kindness is a powerful draw.
